Polymaker PolyDissolve S1 is a water-soluble PVA support filament for FDM/FFF 3D prints with complex support structures, overhangs, and internal geometries.

According to Polymaker, the material is designed to be combined with PLA, TPU, PVB, and nylon-based filaments from the Polymaker portfolio. After printing, the support material can be dissolved in water. The dissolution time depends, among other things, on the amount of water, temperature, agitation, and geometry.

PolyDissolve S1 is very hygroscopic and should be stored particularly dry. For reliable results, Polymaker recommends using a dry box or a suitable drying system.

For multi-material prints, Polymaker particularly recommends systems with two nozzles, IDEX, or tool changers. For single-nozzle systems, very careful purging during material changes is necessary to avoid clogging.
