Polymaker ASA 1kg 1.75 mm

ASA filament for weather-resistant and UV-stable FDM/FFF 3D printed parts

Material ASA

Product description

Polymaker ASA is an engineering ASA filament for FDM/FFF 3D printers. It is suitable for functional components, housings, brackets, prototypes and applications where weather resistance and UV stability are required.

ASA is often used as an alternative to ABS when components are to be used outdoors or under changing environmental conditions. For reliable results, ASA benefits from an enclosed or as stable as possible build chamber.

The filament should be stored dry and protected from moisture. If the material has absorbed moisture, it is recommended to dry it before printing in a suitable filament dryer or drying device.

Frequently Asked Questions about ASA Filament

What is ASA filament best used for?

ASA is often used for outdoor parts, technical components, housings and prints that require good UV resistance, weather resistance and heat resistance.

Is ASA suitable for outdoor use?

Yes. ASA is a strong choice for outdoor applications because it offers better UV and weather resistance than many standard filaments.

Does ASA need an enclosed printer?

An enclosed build chamber is strongly recommended. ASA can warp if the print cools too quickly or if the ambient temperature is not stable.

Is ASA better than ABS?

ASA and ABS are both technical materials, but ASA offers better UV and weather resistance. For outdoor parts, ASA is often the better choice.

Is ASA beginner-friendly?

ASA is more demanding than PLA or PETG. It usually requires higher printing temperatures, good bed adhesion and a controlled printing environment.

How should ASA filament be stored?

ASA should be stored dry and protected from moisture. Dry filament improves surface quality, layer adhesion and dimensional consistency.

Sehr gutes ASA filament

Sehr gutes ASA filament, leider ist die Pappspule noch 100%ig für meinem
Drucker geeignet, da s könnte auch der Innendurchmesser sein.
